Seven La Jolla civic bodies hold meetings between Thursday, Sept. 10, and Thursday, Sept. 17, according to the La Jolla Light community calendar.

La Jolla Town Council

The Town Council meets Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. at the La Jolla Recreation Center, 615 Prospect St. The council holds its regular public meetings on the second Thursday of each month. More information is available at lajollatowncouncil.org.

LJCPA committees

Four La Jolla Community Planning Association committees meet during the week:

  • Planned District Ordinance Committee — Monday, Sept. 14, at 4 p.m., La Jolla Recreation Center, 615 Prospect St.
  • Development Permit Review Committee — Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 4 p.m., online.
  • Traffic & Transportation Board — Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 4 p.m., La Jolla/Riford Library, 7555 Draper Ave.
  • Shores Permit Review Committee — Thursday, Sept. 17, at 4 p.m., online.

La Jolla Shores boards

The La Jolla Shores Planned District Ordinance Advisory Board meets Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. at the La Jolla Recreation Center. Details are available through the city's planning department website.

The La Jolla Shores Association holds its monthly meeting the same evening at 6 p.m. at the Martin Johnson House, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, 8840 Biological Grade. The agenda had not been posted as of Sept. 7; check lajollashoresassociation.org for updates.

Blood drives

The San Diego Blood Bank has three La Jolla-area drives during the week:

  • Thursday, Sept. 10 — 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., La Jolla Square driveway, 4225 Executive Square.
  • Sunday, Sept. 13 — 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., La Jolla Presbyterian Church, 7715 Draper Ave.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 15 — 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., NIBR San Diego, 10675 John Jay Hopkins Drive.

The La Jolla Open Aire Market runs Sunday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Girard Avenue and Genter Street.
